How much will it cost to use this site? What is the payment plan?
A: The cost is determined by your food and beverage package. The Lake Placid Club Golf House requires an initial deposit to book, and two more deposits due six months and three months prior to the date of the event. All deposits go towards your final bill.
Is there a reception package? What is included, and how much does it cost?

Do you offer a discount for a room block at the Crowne Plaza?
A: Yes, we typically offer 20 rooms for a wedding room blocks if you choose to have your wedding with us rates vary depending on date.
Does the wedding coordinator help setup decorations?
A: The two things that the Lake Placid Club Golf House does not take responsibility for setting up are additional outside lighting and decorating the mantel. However, the coordinator will setup all your decorations for you 2 hours prior to the event. If you think it will take more than two hours than we ask for you to provide people to help assist. We ask for all decoration to be labeled and assembled.
What time are we allowed to setup for decorations?
A: You are allowed to come the day of the event between 10-11:00am to setup any additional outside lighting. You can come between 11-12:00pm to decorate the mantel. All other decorations you are allowed to setup two hours prior to the event.
What time are vendors allowed to arrive and start setting up?
A: All vendors are allowed to come 2 hours prior.
How long will you have the site? Is there an overtime fee if you stay longer?
A: The site is yours for five hours. After that a fee including a service charge and tax will be added. There is a maximum of 1-hour for the extension.
Will there be another wedding before or after?
A: We only host one wedding per day at each facility.
Are tables, chairs, plates, and glasses available, or will you have to rent them through a vendor?
A: All these items are included.
For catering, do we work with an in-house caterer or work with a list of preferred caterers?
A: The Lake Placid Golf Club and Crowne Plaza provides all catering.
Does the Lake Placid Club require a cake cutting fee?
A: No. We do not have a pastry chef so you are welcome to bring in your own cake and desserts.
Must you leave everything as is, or can you move things around and decorate to suit your purposes? Are there decorations guidelines?
A: No, nailing, tacking or sticking and nothing hanging from the chandlers, otherwise you may decorate as you wish.
Does the site have restrictions on what kind of music you can play, or a time at which music must be turned off?
A: Music must finish by 11:00 pm outside and 12:00pm inside at the Golf House. Otherwise there are no restrictions.
Will someone who works at the location supervise your wedding?
A: One function manager will be available from start to finish.
What is the venues capacity?
A: May- October we can host a maximum of 200 for ceremony and reception. November- April can host up to 150 guests.
Does the Crowne Plaza provide transportation to the wedding venue?
A: No.
Is parking free? If not, what are the rates and gratuities for valets?
A: Parking is free and there is no valet.
How far is the Lake Placid Club wedding venue from the Crowne Plaza?
A: Less than one mile (.8).
Is the Lake Placid Club handicap accessible?
A: Yes.
Will there be, or can you set up, a coatroom? Are there sufficient restroom facilities?
A: Coat racks are made available. There are facilities for three in the ladies room, four in the men’s room, as well as wheelchair accessible restroom.
Is there a bar? Does the Lake Placid Club Golf House have a liquor license?
A: All facilities have a bar and are up-to-date with licenses. Extra bars can be set up for an additional fee.
Does the site have liability insurance?
A: Yes. All of our facilities are fully insured.
Is there a dress code, for example are a coat and tie required after 6pm?
A: There is not a dress code. Our staff wears black and white uniforms.
Are pets allowed at the wedding venue?
A: Yes, dogs are allowed to be present for the ceremony. After that they must return to their accommodations.
What is the cancellation policy?
A: No refunds for any deposits made.
